This was a beautiful park we went to visit about an hour outside of Rio... i got eaten alive by bugs (never wear a dress to go to a tropical park) but it was really nice to check it out...

After my first day in Rio, brooks and his family invited me to go with them to an amazing place called Angra dos Reis... It is a great place about 2.5 hours outside of Rio... everyone has a house on the water and takes their boats from island to island (there are over 365 islands in Angra). I had an amazing two days there with Brooks, his two friends Bruno and Xuxa and his sister Adrienne filled with a lot of great music, drinking, champan-ski, and laughs. The views were amazing and it was just an overall BLAST!

Now I am back in Rio to celebrate the new year with my family :-) Missing everyone in Miami! please write to me jbarocci@gmail.com, i really want to hear about what is going on with everyone back in the states, xoxo

Yay! I am finally back online, so i can add pictures and keep intouch.
Wow, i never thought i could miss Miami and everyone so much. Rio is such an amazing and different place for me, but thinking about all of my friends back home makes me a little sad... this is going to be an amazing experience and I cant wait to share it with everyone. My flight here was easy and fine, had one day here with the family and then off to an amazing night with Brooks and his sister out in Rio... to bad I was having to much fun to take any pictures... but i promise that the nightlife in rio is very very fun, and going out in Rio with the Shea family is just as crazy as going out in Miami! It is very very HOT in Rio and seriously people do not believe in airconditioning like they do in miami, it is going to take some getting used to...

First Post

I am getting so excited to leave for Brazil in just a few short weeks! I am going to miss all of my friends and family, and of course my DG ladies and my amazing LITTLE, but I know this is going to be an experience of a lifetime! I really hope to keep up this blog so you can all really see what is going on with me. I am new at this, but I am sure it is going to get better and better as the weeks go on...
